Created for the First International Sculpture Symposium in Odisha, India, this sculpture reimagines discarded metal as a site of aesthetic and conceptual possibility. My practice explores ways of seeing and the multiplicity of meaning, and waste offered an opportunity to transform overlooked material into an artwork. Combining the weathered surfaces of found metal with precisely cut triangular forms, the sculpture contrasts the random and the deliberate, the organic and the constructed. Stacked into a prism-like structure, each triangle suggests further possibilities, reflecting the latent potential within waste itself. Developed collaboratively through improvisation rather than predetermined plans, the work embraced experimentation, play, and collective problem-solving. It invites viewers to reconsider waste—not as an end point, but as a material of beauty, possibility, and renewal.
