“Voor-teruger I” — translating to “Forward-backward I” — continues Radebe’s exploration of time, cultural memory, and spatial movement. Through acrylic paint on paper, the work visualises the interplay between history and future imaginaries, reflecting on the collective histories that shape South Africa. The composition features layered, abstract forms that evoke the logid of isiZulu material culture, populating the otherwise vacant decriptions of land with indigeneity.
