The city is central to my practice. Through iscamtho, graffiti aesthetics and methodologies, isiZulu material culture, and the epistemic framework of isintu, I investigate the city as a living archive where Indigenous knowledge systems, everyday language, and lived experience converge. Rather than simply representing Johannesburg, I work through it — treating urban space as both subject and material from which new artistic forms can emerge.
